Pegging: Each peg is marked out to be nine metres apart giving the angler lots of room. The pegs aren`t all laid out yet and Bob has several options for that; I advise him to do it with large, metal platforms but we`ll see what happens
Stocking: Excellent. All fish are reared by Bob so they are completely free from disease each lake is heavily stocked. The first three lakes contain just F2s, whereas the others are solely F1 carp lakes. These should provide bites all year round.
Features: The match lakes are about one acre in size and 20 metres wide. Reeds were planted in the but a flock of Canada geese stopped by and ate the lot!
Polly`s verdict: It was a real pleasure to be the first angler to fish one of Willowcroft`s Canal lakes. The lakes are full of fish and the carp i caught were in pristine condition. Anyone after a great day out should try Willowcroft - the fish are eager to feed and you shouldn`t fail to catch. There is also a specimen lake on site, which is probably one of the best in the area, and once the cafe is up and running this will be one of the finest fisheries around!
